Of Manchester have always held an anti-Glazer stance and,
at times, got heavily criticised for it, especially from
American fans who misunderstood the reasons. Nearly all
of our team have a background in finance, and as a result,
understood fully the implications of the takeover and
tried our best to warn others about it. Sadly, many chose
to ignore our advice and that of Manchester United PLC's
boardroom at the time (many of which resigned), and failed
to buy shares in their own club. |
Despite
continuing to make a profit on player transfers each
year since they arrived, the Glazers got lucky that
Cristiano Ronaldo and Sir Alex Ferguson continued the
success on the field and most people chose to ignore
the growing debt off it. Now the time has come, which
the so-called "doom & gloom merchants"
like ourselves, MUST and IMUSA predicted, and the clock
really is ticking on the future of Manchester United
as we know it. |
We'd
urge all United fans who care about their club to take
part in the campaign to get the Glazers out. Buy your
Newton Heath yellow & green scarf, join the Facebook
Group, or your anti-Glazer T-shirts to show where you
stand on the issue, but most of all, join MUST (the
Manchester United Supporters Trust). |
