Neil
Jones - Chief Executive |
|
As
Chief Executive of the Hotels
For Europe group, Neil Jones,
is the man behind Pride Of Manchester. He works day and night
on the website, splitting his time between offices in Manchester
and Switzerland. A proud wearer of his Adidas Ian Brown Superstar
trainers, he has a season ticket at Old Trafford and also follows
FC United, driving around the region in his TVR (registration
plate M4NCR just to show how nuts about Manchester he really is).
A regular visitor to Manchester's finest restaurants, Neil, originally
from Bury, where he also used to DJ, shares an addiction for the
city with so many others who visit the website...
He has an annoying habit
of boring everyone about how good the city is and can usually
be heard saying 'they're from Manchester you know' after every
song on the radio. His record collection contains almost every
Manchester musician ever, although his favourites include The
Space Monkeys ("if they'd been from London they'd
have been huge!"), David
Gray ("the stuff he released before White Ladder
was his best"), The
Stone Roses ("what can I say!?!"), I
Am Kloot ("wonderful!")
and James
("they'll be sorely missed!")

Robert
Jones - Managing Director |
|
Robert
Jones rejoined the Pride Of Manchester team after returning
from a year in Australia. His work didn't stop there though, with
the website getting much welcome advertising at Sydney's famous
'Manchester Night' (every Tuesday at the Kings Pub). Despite always
wanting to live 'down under' Rob couldn't wait to come back home
where he's got a season ticket at Old Trafford. A massive film
buff and collector of Manchester United video's and DVD's, Rob
is the guy responsible for compiling the exhaustive Man United
pages on our site. He's addicted to watching episodes of Early
Doors, The Royle Family, Cold Feet and Phoenix Nights.
Rob is also responsible for the running of the superb Manchester
Theatres and Stadium
Hotels websites.

Faroese
born Ingun Nolsoe Olsen joined the Hotels
For Europe
team in 2005, taking charge of the Manchester
live comedy guide and Faroe
Islands Hotels
website. Splitting her time between Manchester, the Faroe Islands,
Germany and Switzerland, Ingun loves Manchester - especially shopping
for bargains and eating in the many restaurants. A Manchester
United supporter and big fan of Lisa Stansfield, Badly Drawn Boy
and Mint Royale, Ingun's picking up her Manc accent by working
her way through her Cold Feet, Shameless, Royle Family and Phoenix
Nights collections.. |
|
Nicholas
Manning is the newcomer to the Hotels
For Europe
team, working largely on the hotel sites. As an avid Manc music
lover, Nick can often be found at the unsigned nights taking place
around the city. As a Manchester City fan from Stockport, he's
normally the whipping boy in the office from the rest of the team. |
|
|
Ian
Jones - Finance Director |
|
Ian
Jones looks after the finances of the Hotels
For Europe
group as well as being a non-executive Director of Paul McCartney's
LIPA in Liverpool amongst others. He spent many years as a Regional
Corporate Director for the Royal Bank of Scotland and is a massive
Manchester United fan - travelling all over Europe to watch them. |
|
|
Jim
Humphreys - Consultant |
|
As
head of JDH Designs, Jim Humphreys, works as
a consultant to Pride Of Manchester and is responsible for many
of the banner advertisements and photo collagés throughout
the site. He is a man of many tastes and lives on a hillside above
Ramsbottom (is that then Upper Ramsbottom?), in the beautiful
Lancashire countryside. From his office window he enjoys views
stretching out all over Greater Manchester. It is perhaps this
tranquil view of the region that fuels his desire for the city.
He's a mad Buzzcocks
fan who loves to walk the region's beautiful countryside. |
